Washington, D.C. — Today, U.S. Senator Laphonza Butler (D-Calif.) released the following statement after passage of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization Act of 2024:
“California airports serve as a travel hub for millions of Americans every day, and it is essential that the FAA receives the funding it needs to ensure that passengers reach their destinations safely. I voted for the FAA Reauthorization Act of 2024 because it will uphold safety and accessibility at our airports, protect labor standards for workers, invest in the recruitment and training of air traffic controllers, and hold airlines accountable for substandard service.”
